20,1% of children aged 15 and under had to take medicine regulary in the last years. That opposes a lot of difficulties
Children forget to take the medicine or are frustrated
Parents can‘t controll if the medicine is taken
Children are stigamtized for taking medicine
Our solution is the medigotchi, a smart medication box for children. Controllable and accessible via smartphone by the parents.
output tray for medication
LCD screen to interact with the user
medication storage
rotary knob for medication output
The medigotchi is used in three simple steps:
1. parents fill up the compartments using the app and the display on the medigotchi.
2. medigotchi asks child to take medicine and notifies parents at the same time. When child
interacts with it, the medication is dispensed.
3. In case the child misses the intake, parents are notified and can send a reminder.
The medigotchi uses gamifiaction to ensure that taking the medication is a rewarding task and pursued with joy. It guides the child through every step of the process via interactive messages on the screen and enables the parents to take part in it.
